Scott, Walter- Marmion- menorot
This epic poem is the best thing I have read this year!!! It is a ripping yarn, set at the Battle of Flodden Field in Northumberland, England in the 16th Century. Lord Marmion is the callous warrior who plans to dump his concubine and marry a rich heiress. But he gets his come-uppance in this very readable poem. I recommend new readers to read Canto First, Second, Third, etc., before attempting to read the Introductions. I am preparing a web page for Marmion with photos of the wonderful scenery in the English and Scottish borders. Downloaded 31 times Size : 118 Kb (RocketBook) - English
